Our Story

We build the buildings we’d want to live in.

I started Green Street Flats because I was tired of two things: Toronto building only condos and single-family houses, and nobody building rental that you’d actually be proud to call home.

My first multiplex was a learning project. The second was better. By the fifth, I knew what I wanted this company to be — a developer that owns the buildings it builds, manages them for decades, and treats “rental” as a category that deserves the same thoughtfulness as anything else.

Every project we deliver, I ask the same question: would I want to live here? If the answer isn’t yes, we redesign it. That’s the whole thing. The 65,000 SF we’ve built, the awards, the press coverage — all of that follows from getting that one question right.

Leads in-house architectural design across all projects. Specializes in creating homes that enhance their streetscape while maximizing livability and neighbourhood fit.

Victor Istomen

Head of Construction

With 40+ years of construction experience across three countries, Victor manages construction operations and our vetted trade network. Ensures every build is meticulously executed with quality materials for minimal long-term maintenance.

Max Herber

Property Manager

Manages day-to-day operations across our occupied buildings, from leasing and tenant relations to maintenance coordination. Keeps every Green Street home running smoothly so residents stay comfortable and well cared for.

Khalil Mamatmurodov

Site & Property Superintendent

Superintendent across both active construction sites and existing properties. Keeps work on schedule, coordinates trades on the ground, and handles hands-on repairs and upkeep that protect each building for the long term.
