This one's a favourite. We split a wide lot, wrestled with red tape — and a vexatious, overly litigious neighbour — and came out on top. Ten new homes now sit where one tired house used to be — including two full laneway suites. Custom murals, clever wall assemblies, basement bedrooms with real headroom make this a showcase of what infill can be when you push for better. Proof that smart strategy and great design can unlock density — even before the zoning caught up.
